Definition

Phosphorus is present in all cells and is essential to all forms of life. It’s crucial for overall plant growth, aiding with photosynthesis, protein production and tissue development.

Phosphorus is added to fertilizers to bring an extra boost to new plants and help them develop strong roots or to mitigate a phosphorus deficiency.
